IF YOU WERE... A MOVIE
If you were a movie, what kind of movie would you be?
Would you show how acting is done?
Would watching you be fun?
Would you be impressive like that Round Hay Garden Scene,
short but pleasant, if you know what I mean?
Would watching you blow my top?
Would I need to call a Rent-a-Cop?
Would good ole Sarah be alive?
Would Model 101 learn about a high five
or would you ruin what came before
and reimagine that Notting Hill door?
Would you be a bat movie?
A cat movie?
A Beethoven dog flick?
An ugly guy Hot Chick?
Would you make Marilyn proud?
Would you be like Michael Bay – just too damn loud?
You’ve Got Mail, or so the story goes
Would you spill The Name of the Rose?
Would the Roses be at war?
Would there be gore?
Would there be Planes, Trains and Automobiles?
Would touching a pillow remind you of that man butt?
“Want some candy?” a creature might say
If you were a movie, would you make my day?
Would Dumb be even Dumber?
Would the same day be a groundhog bummer?
Would “I am your father” be a thing?
Would there be a disco ding-a-ling?
Or would you be chaste: no Speed, no haste,
No moaning Meg, no begging Murphy,
No tall blue men, no little smurf,
No triple boob baloney,
No hasta la you-know-what or Furious cars,
No acid in space, no crazy Rat Race,
No ghosts to bust, no Fly in the dust,
No bee for Bean, no dino droppings too...
Would you be a wolf and a teen?
If you were a movie, would you be romantic?
Would you be Frantic at your sea?
Would you boldly go where no man’s gone before?
Well, I could ask you so much more at the Blue Guy shore
so here’s an encore:
If you were a movie, what kind of movie would you be?
***
Probably the most indecent porn movie LOL although I'd like to say a sweeping stylish historical or sf epic.
ReplyDeleteI knew I could could on good ole Dezzmeister. I'm thinking of Dezzy Does Dallas. No?
DeleteYes, we need more epic SF.
Really clever, Blue!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex. Good to hear from you.
DeleteIf I were a movie, what kind of movie would I be
ReplyDeleteI’d be the Princess Bride as I love a good fairy tale
“as you wish” just don’t make it an epic fail
I’d be You’ve Got Mail, "I just want to say that all this nothing
has meant more to me than so many somethings."
I’d be The Guardian of the Galaxy – traveling different parts
“I don’t use my head to fly the arrow, boy! I use my heart.”
I’d be The Holiday – "I need some peace and quiet" heal from the heartache
"You're supposed to be the leading lady of your own life, for god's sake!"
I’d be “Passengers” – traveling to a distant colony
“If you live an ordinary life, all you'll have are ordinary stories.
I’d be Dirty Dancing discovering I can stand on my two feet
“It’s not on the one, it’s not the mambo. It’s a feeling, a heartbeat.”
but, if you ask me tomorrow I may be different movies..
You made me smile....yes, you did and I haven't been smiling much lately.
of course I may just be "Grease" I've got chills they're multiplying...sing it with me Blue...
Hello True
DeleteHow are you?
You sure made me smile :) Thank you for that.
I'd be a boring movie. lol A movie about a lady who sits and reads all day.
ReplyDeleteYou sure made me laugh, Mary. I hope you're doing fine despite some of those crazy neighbors you've got leaving the premises on a stretcher....
DeleteI'm glad I made you laugh, Blue. I'm doing okay as long as it's not me going out on the stretcher I'm fine.
DeleteThat makes perfect sense to me :)
DeleteSo cool! I'm glad I didn't click on all the links now that I know there were some racy movies mentioned, since I am on my work PC! Truedessa took my movie, The Princess Bride. Hmm, not sure I'm any kind of a movie, more like a drama series I think, different drama llama in my life every day. I'm more Chicago Fire, putting out fires all day just to fall asleep in my bunk at the firehouse so I can get up and do it all over again...Yay me! Thanks for stopping by my blog and thinking about the funeral business.
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a great comment, Alicia.
DeleteI think I'd be an animated film. Full of adventure and color and whimsy.
ReplyDeleteHi Blue. Hope you're well!
I'm doing fine, Theresa. Just a bit too much work to do, is all. Thanks for asking.
DeleteProbably one of the ones that you had to pass a bead door to get to
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me.
DeleteI was blown away by Mannequin (1987) when I watched it as a kid. It just fed into the hopeless romantic I was at that time, but also I loved everything about Kim Catrall then and the soundtrack (Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship) was my favourite song. I still love the music but when I watched it again recently, and I just can't do the movie anymore. I miss that little girl. So trusting with simple logics in a world of complicated advances. Yet it's those qualities that saved me.
ReplyDeleteThese days, I enjoy movies "based on real events/ story" and crime documentaries! So yeah. I might be a biopic.
Nothing's gonna stop us now.... Great song, JJ. I watch a lot of crime documentaries, too. Good to hear from you again.
