SUNDAY LIMERICK WITH TRUEDESSA
There once was a guy named Blue,
Impatient, always tired, it's true.
He'd grumble and frown,
Speak your mind, never back down,
Or he'd doze through your words, boo-hoo.
Blue's snores could be heard in the day,
Impatience his constant display.
With a yawn and a snore,
He'd nap, and then snore some more,
Wake him up? Better delay!
There was a blue guy, the color of the sky
he was always pondering, wondering why
how could he find his precious lost shoe
he was always tired, that much is true
this limerick might make him roll his eyes
how could he find his precious lost shoe
he was always tired, that much is true
this limerick might make him roll his eyes

haha - sorry Blue - Best I could do - True
Love it.
Deleteand I love what you did, Blue
Deleteyou made me smile, it's True
on a cold January wintry day
I'm dreaming of flowers in May
I want the snow to melt from view
Thank you for thinking of me....True...
Don't mention it. It brought back memories.
DeleteMemories of better days
DeleteToday is just a slow burn, I say
Tired of life kicking me down
I’m searching for a profound noun
sadly , none come in display
Hey Blue, I hope you are okay
If not tomorrow is another day….
F…it is what I really want to say…
Wait did I just say that…..
Pondering🍸🍸cheers
Shocking! :)
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
DeleteIts just another day, you say
That might just be true
here’s a limerick from me to you
What sentiment can I convey
Roses may be red, but mine are blue
remember dreams are yours to pursue
what will make you smile for today
may the sun shine & dark clouds drift away
roses and thorns, life’s duality on display
Truedessa
You sure put a smile on my face, True.
DeleteBeing impatient is exhausting. My drive home used to wear me out what with all the slow drivers in front of me.
ReplyDeleteReally like Truedessa's addition to the limerick!
So did I, Alex.
DeleteCute poem, made me smile. Popped in from a mutual friends blog, it's always fun to meet new bloggers.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you.
DeleteI'll tell you what January's got me blue, it felt like a very long never ending Monday
ReplyDeleteI can relate.
DeleteLike Adam, January and February always make me feel tired. I hate these dregs of winter. Hope you're well, Blue!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing just fine, Theresa. Thanks for asking.
DeleteMediocre essays? Well that’s just not good enough. Set them a challenge, Blue. Tell these pesky student you want a limerick about their dreams for this year! You're the tutor - make them work! Teach them to be masterful!
ReplyDeleteI do like yours and Trudessa’s -Such talent.
I'm surrounded by too many students who just don't want to put in the hours. Watching Netflix is their strong suit. Crying is, too.
DeleteI hope you are well. This is my favorite time of year. I hate the Summer time. It's too bright, too hot and too sunny. Give me a cloudy, cold, overcast day anytime.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, Mary.
DeleteHey stranger, you're still here! So happy for that!
ReplyDeleteBarely... It's been over a decade. Hope you're doing fine.
DeleteHa! Nice limerick. I bet it gets tiring reading all those students' papers.
