Who We Are Too

By Blue and Truedessa

Is the night a tricky place to hide yourself, Miss Blue,
When truth and lie are synonyms that explore your deepest essence?
Does a nightly flight advance your convalescence?
Does it capture who you are and heal your view?

Dreams lead to many realms where I can find respite
Truth and lies become one of the same,
The trick is to distinguish between the two, as what is truth, dear Mr. Blue?
Nightly flights bring soul recovery,
Finding pieces of myself lost along the journey called life
Healing comes from within and in the silence of night our truest voice is heard.
Do you hear it calling you? It's been calling for so long...

Truth is all there is to know about what you want to know
It's what you choose to see, it's all the things that give you strength,
The kind of healing lies won't bring, not in your one man show.
Where do dreams lead you when I'm kept at arm's length?

The night leads to many realms where I can find respite, Mr. Blue
Truth and lies are antonyms, yet both can be misleading
Nightly flights bring soul recovery, finding the pieces of myself
Healing comes from dreams, an antidote to counteract reality

Last night I do remember — it happens every second moon
No soul recovery for me when worms with hooks and beaks
Think I'm their lunch and dinner, when zombie freaks
Hunt me down to feed on me, when I can't hide too soon.
Does that capture who I am, asleep but scared?
I do not fly but run, and not a soul who ever cared.

Tell me Mr. Blue, are you seeking answers too, tell me true
Why do your dreams scare you so, are there ghosts hiding?
Are you afraid to walk through the fire, to find the light?
Perhaps, the greatest medicine is the human spirit, the drive to survive?
Let me guide you through your dreams, maybe we can find us too...

The thing is... life's a story with no tale, a sleepy spirituality
We try to give it meaning, put it in a box
Recovery's imperfect, a timeless eventuality
I remember ghosts and pain and locks
Going on and on and then I hear the morning calling
I wake up to find I'm whole again, no longer falling.
I don't mind forgetting.

Mr Blue, life is a story and we are the authors of our own bestseller
We try to find meaning getting lost in the characters we meet along the way,
Anxiously waiting for the plot to unfold
We are perfectly imperfect that is what makes us extraordinary
We drift into the night dreaming to our awakening
Sometimes we need to forget, so we can live again
And find that happy ending just for us.
"Once Upon a Time: The Story of Blue and True..."
Do you believe?

I might one night.
